
The
Palm Beach County Sports Commission is a private, non-profit
organization committed to enhancing the quality of life
through sport. We are contracted by Palm Beach County
to:
- Promote
and market Palm Beach County to bring sporting events
and activities to the County
- Enhance
economic impact
- Maximize
utilization of our facilities
- Stimulate
bed tax revenues primarily in the off-season
We achieve these objectives by supporting numerous sporting
events throughout the County through our active grant
program, corporate partnerships, local membership program
and local, regional and national marketing efforts through
a network of Olympic and national sports organizations
and event owners.
Each year, the events we support are responsible for
thousands of sports visitors to the County - sleeping
in our hotels, utilizing our facilities, enjoying our
attractions and eating in our restaurants - over 110,000
room nights and contributing over $60 million in economic
impact.

organization began in 1985 and privatized in 1991
- The
Palm Beach County Sports Institute, a 501(c)(3)
organization, was founded in 1996
- We
have 30Directors on our Board (14 appointed/16 elected)
- Approximately
400 sport enthusiasts are members

have a 38-member Advisory Board
