Athlete, Sarah Zheng Earns Three Gold and One Silver at
USA Junior Olympics Table Tennis Tournament
WEST
PALM BEACH, FL -Sarah Zheng, a 16 year old Palm Beach County
Community Olympic Development Program (CODP) Table Tennis
athlete from Royal Palm Beach, Florida, earned three gold
and one silver medals during the 39th USA Junior Olympics
and Junior Nationals Table Tennis tournament. The tournament
took place July 29-31 in New Orleans, Louisiana and featured
boys and girls, under the age of 22, from all across the
United States. Throughout the tournament, Zheng competed
in senior age groups, as well as her age group.
Sarah
is coached by CODP Coach Ping Zhang, who attended and prepared
her for the national tournament. “We planned in advance
and prepared very well for the games with effective and
correct strategies and tactics applied to the matches,”
said Coach Ping Zhang. “After very tough competition,
our player harvested three gold and one silver medal from
the matches, in different age groups in the tournament.”
