Beach, Florida Serves Up A “Hot Ticket” and
Welcomes Fed Cup

Beach County, FL, April 3 2007 – The Delray Beach
Tennis Center will serve up one “hot ticket”
April 21-22 in Delray Beach, Florida as the United States
hosts Belgium in the opening round of the 2007 Fed Cup World-Group.
Tennis fans clearly love the fact that tennis great Serena
Williams, current Australian Open champion will join her
older sister, five-time Grand Slam singles champion, Venus
Williams on the United States Fed Cup team.
Ticket sales for the two-day series are selling at a brisk
rate. Prices range from budget to box seats with VIP packages
still available. The United States Tennis Association (USTA)
organizes, stages and promotes the Fed Cup Quarterfinal,
and selects the city that is honored to host the competition.
The Fed Cup is the world’s largest international team
tennis competition for women with 89 nations competing.
Delray Beach is showcasing the excitement of Team USA at
the Delray Beach Tennis Center in Palm Beach County, Florida.

USTA promoters report they are thrilled to be back in Delray
Beach. “The City of Delray Beach has a proven track
record for supporting Fed Cup with passionate fans that
elevate the energy level of the entire tournament,”

tennis back to Delray Beach, Florida.”
The City of Delray Beach joins in the enthusiasm expressed
by the USTA. Host hotels are lined up, ticket sales are
“hot” and an array of festivities are underway.
The Palm Beach County Sports Commission working in tandem
with the Palm Beach County Convention & Visitors Bureau
and the Delray Beach Downtown Cooperative is heading up
marketing and publicity initiatives for national, international
and Florida drive markets. Weekend packages are being offered
at eight resort/hotel/lodging properties. A few hotels report
already being sold out for Fed Cup weekend. Award-wining
Palm Beach International Airport Ambassadors will be extending
a warm welcome to tennis players, fans, and global media
and as they arrive at Palm Beach County’s gateway.
The
City of Delray Beach hosted sell-out crowds for the last
U.S. Fed Cup home match in 2005 as well as the 2004 Davis
