The Museum of Polo & Hall of Fame Conducts Ground Breaking Ceremony

The Museum of Polo & Hall of Fame conducted a ground breaking ceremony on the morning of Thursday, September 27th.  The new wing that is being built will serve as a regional office for the U.S. Polo Association (USPA) and will also become home to the Polo Player’s Edition magazine.  Representatives from all three entities took part in the celebration.

Construction is expected to be completed within a few months in order for the U.S. Polo Association to open in time for its polo playing members by the start of 2008.  Peter Rizzo, USPA Executive director stated, “The groundbreaking for the Museum expansion is a milestone for the USPA organization brining its longstanding vision of a regional presence in Florida to a realization.  We are confident that the consolidation of the three polo entities will prove an asset to the entire polo community."

The Museum of Polo & Hall of Fame is dedicated to fostering an appreciation of the development of the game by preserving, exhibiting, and interpreting polo collections, as well as honoring those who have made outstanding contributions to the sport.
