Palm Beach Gardens Tennis Center
The 2nd Annual LaVaughn Munroe Tennis Invitational which will be held October 8-10th at the Palm Beach Gardens Tennis Center will be full of tennis and lots of fun. The City of Palm Beach Gardens is graciously donating their time and facility to support our event and the Munroe Tennis Fund, Inc. On Sunday, February 15, 2009 LaVaughn Munroe, a former tennis player and alumni of Florida A&M, was killed in a car accident. He had just started the Munroe Tennis Academy in the Bahamas and was hoping to help the kids begin to play tournaments here in the USA to give them an opportunity to go to college on an athletic scholarship. We are also working to establish a relationship between the Bahamas junior players and juniors in the USA so everyone involved gets a chance to pursue their dreams in tennis. So players of all ages, please come out and play to support the game of tennis!!!
