The Palm Beach County Sports Commission annually produces the following events to highlight sports in the County. These events are part of our overall marketing strategy, and serve to increase public awareness of the importance of sports to the community.

The Lou Groza Collegiate Place-Kicker Award The Lou Groza Collegiate Place-Kicker Award is presented annually by the FedEx Orange Bowl, given annually to the nation's top place kicker as determined by a voting panel of voters. Once the final three kickers are are decided, they come to Palm Beach County for the Lou Groza Awards Banquet and Silent Auction. |

The Palm Beach County Sports Hall of Fame The Palm Beach County Sports Hall of Fame honors and recognizes the accomplishments of Palm Beach County athletes. Their lifetime of outstanding contributions in sports is recognized at the annual Sports Hall of Fame Banquet. |

The Sam Budnyk Scholar-Athlete Award is presented annually to a high school senior in Palm Beach County who has demonstrated outstanding achievement in academics, community service and athletics. A potential college scholarship of $20,000 is presented to the winner of the Sam Budnyk Scholarship. $5,000 is awarded the 1st year and a subsequent $5,000 is available for three consecutive years.

Each July, over 6,000 South Florida youth gather for two days of FITNESS and FUN! Full of excitement and energy, festival participants have the opportunity to get hands on experience and develop skills in over 40 different sports clinics. |

Palm Beach County Sports Commission 5th Annual Golf Classic The Palm Beach County Sports Commission Golf Classic helps raise money for the various programs the Sports Commission produces and promotes; specifically the Kids Fitness Festival, Palm Beach County Sports Hall of Fame, and the Lou Groza Collegiate Place Kicker Award. |
