The JUNIOR Honda Classic is an amateur golf tournament that features both a boys and girls division competing in a variety of age groups that ranged from 8u to 18u. Over 250 youth golfers from across the nation visited Palm Beach County during this event in 2016.The JUNIOR Honda Classic presents a 36-hole competition on the Champions Course at PGA National Resort & Spa for the high school age groups. The younger age groups compete in both a 36-hole and 18-hole event on the Fazio’s course at PGA National Resort & Spa. Golfers from more than 20 different states are expected to participate.

Holiday Basketball Classic of the Palm Beaches

The National Championship and American Challenge divisions will consist of teams invited from all over the country to play in a very challenging and competitive bracket with some of the best teams in America.

The Boca Raton Bowl is a college football bowl game that will feature the Mid-American Conference (MAC) facing off against an opponent from the American Athletic Conference (AAC) or Conference USA (C-USA) in alternating years. Each conference will participate four times during the six-year agreement, which began with the 2014 season. The 2016 bowl season will bring together teams from Conference USA (CUSA) and the American Athletic Conference (AAC) on Tuesday, December 20, at 7 p.m. ET. Little Mo International Tennis Open

The Little Mo International Tennis Open will take place on the tennis courts at PGA National Resort and the BallenIsles Country Club from December 2-7, 2016. This youth tennis tournament will feature both boys and girls in 5 different age groups (12u, 11u, 10u, 9u, and 8u). The tournament will feature singles, doubles, and mixed doubles competitions for each age group. Approximately 350 athletes from more than 40 countries are expected to compete. A total of 25 tennis courts will be utilized (15 at PGA National & 10 at BallenIsles). International Tennis Federation (ITF) rules will apply.The Maureen Connolly Brinker Tennis Foundation conducts Little Mo tournaments throughout the country. This includes 16 sectionals, 4 regionals, 1 national, and 3 international tournaments. This tournament is named after Maureen “Little Mo” Connolly, who in 1953 became the first woman to win the Grand Slam when she was only 18 years old.

NAIA Men's Soccer Championship

The 58th National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Men’s Soccer National Championships will be hosted by the Palm Beach County Sports Commission in conjunction with Keiser University (Fla.). The sixteen-team championship will be played at Hilltopper Stadium and the adjoining Seacrest Soccer Complex in Delray Beach on November 28 – December 3. The sixteen (16) teams will compete in fifteen (15) games in pursuit of a National Championship. In order to make the tournament, 32 teams participate in qualifying (opening round) games held on campus at participating schools. These 32 teams are comprised of 24 automatic qualifiers awarded to conference/independent and regular-season champions, and eight at-large teams selected by the NAIA Men’s Soccer Modified Ratings Percentage Index. The 16 winning teams in the qualifiers advance to Palm Beach County as the National Championship host site. For more information, visit www.naia.org

The AJGA Polo™ Golf Junior Classic, which has been conducted annually since 1978, is one of the premier tournaments on the American Junior Golf Association's season. The 156-player invitation-only field is made up of boys and girls, ages 12-18, from 25 states and 12 foreign countries. Former champions include Stewart Cink (1989), Tiger Woods (1991), Paula Creamer (2002), Grace Park (1994, 1996) and Morgan Pressel (2004). The event is scheduled to take place at PGA National in Palm Beach Gardens from November 19-25, 2016. The United States Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program (ODP) Girls Winter Interregional is an extremely competitive tournament, which attracts a total of 20 teams (4 regional teams in 5 age divisions) comprised of the most skilled soccer players in the nation. The age divisions are: 14u, 15u, 16u, 17u & 18u. US Youth Soccer divides its teams into the following regions: midwest, west, northeast, and southern. The regional teams are comprised of the most skilled girl soccer players in the nation.
