First Responder Games

The Palm Beach County Sports Commission and United States Firefighter Games are bringing the biennial First Responder Games to Palm Beach County from June 5-17, 2017. The First Responder Games is an Olympic-style competition dedicated exclusively for police, fire, military, emergency medical personnel and federal agents. The event will attract over 2,000 first responders from across the nation and will feature 30 different sports events, including soccer, flag football, softball, golf, basketball, ice hockey, fishing, racquetball, tennis, etc. Hosting will generate considerable visitor spending and room nights in addition to significant public relations value for providing a forum to celebrate some of our country's heroes.

Collegiate League of The Palm Beaches

The Collegiate League of The Palm Beaches is a wood bat summer collegiate baseball league that will take place at the Ballpark of the Palm Beaches from June 1 through August 3, 2017. The Collegiate League of The Palm Beaches will draw over 100 amateur baseball players competing in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I and II as well as the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA). These baseball players will form a league that allows some of the top collegiate baseball prospects in the nation to showcase and improve their skills. A significant number of professional baseball scouts is expected to attend the event. The college baseball players will travel from across the United States to participate in the Collegiate League of The Palm Beaches. The players will stay in hotels for nearly 60 nights, which should lead to a room night generation that exceeds 1,500

The South Florida Collegiate Baseball League provides amateur players an opportunity to showcase themselves in hopes of reaching the professional ranks. The South Florida Collegiate League is a new sports entity that consists of ten (10) teams that play a 40 game regular season schedule. South Florida Select Football Clinic

The South Florida Select Football Clinic is unique because it brings coaches from the country’s top academic institutions to Palm Beach County to provide instruction and guidance on playing football at the collegiate level.

Under Armour Memorial Day Classic

Date: May 26 to 29, 2017
Location: Roger Dean Stadium
The Under Armour Memorial Day Classic is one of four Team One Baseball National Tournaments that will take place at Roger Dean Stadium in Jupiter, FL. The event, scheduled for May 26-29th, 2017, is a wood composite bat tournament that features both a 16u and 18u age division. Over 40 teams are expected to compete. Teams will play two (2) round robin games and a minimum guarantee of three (3) total games. Players will have an opportunity to earn an invitation to the Under Armour / Team One National Showcases. The African American Golfers Hall of Fame provides a deeper historic perspective about the African American involvement in the game of golf since indeed the 1800s. The African American Golfers Hall of Fame identifies those who have made it possible for us to enjoy this great game called golf. We will honor and celebrate those who have gone before us and those who are currently making their mark. We will make sure that our youth golfers raise the bar even higher and stay on the right course so that one day, they will also have a hall of fame (AAGHOF) to enter.

Stacey Konwiser Memorial Save The Tiger 5k

Run or walk to help save Malayan tigers! It’s estimated that there are fewer than 300 left in the wild. Proceeds from this race help fund Palm Beach Zoo’s partnership with Wildlife Conservation Society to protect Malayan tigers and their habitat at Endau Rompin National Park in Malaysia. Race registration includes a free tech-style running t-shirt and Zoo admission. Our Big Cat Race Series runs go through beautiful Dreher Park, finishing inside the Zoo. Palm Beach Cup

Date: May 12 to 14, 2017
Location: Mirasol Park
The Palm Beach Cup is a Florida Youth Soccer Association (FYSA) sanctioned soccer tournament for boys and girls. The tournament will feature close to 190 teams competing in a wide array of age groups, ranging from 8u to 18u, on May 12th-14th,2017. A total of 17 fields will be utilized over several facilities to accommodate close to 300 soccer games. Since the tournament is unrestricted, traveling teams affiliated with other soccer organizations, such as AYSO and US Club Soccer, are welcomed to participate in the tournament. Mirasol Park, Lilac Park, and PGA National Park in Palm Beach Gardens will serve as primary venues for this event.

Boys Jupiter Jam

Date: May 5 to 7, 2017
Location: Burns Road Recreation Center
The Jupiter Jam is one of Florida’s premier basketball tournaments and one of the largest United States Specialty Sports Association USSSA qualifiers in the state. The Jupiter Jam, which is produced by the Jupiter Tequesta Athletic Association (JTAA), features separate girls and boys tournaments. The Boys Jam will take place will occur on May 5th-7th, 2017. The tournaments consist of multiple age divisions that range from 3rd grade to 11th grade. Over 12 venues within North Palm Beach County will be utilized to accommodate the tournaments. The Jupiter Jam serves as a qualifier for the USSSA National Championships.
