111th U.S. Open Polo Championship™ Presented by International Polo Club

The 2015 polo season culminates with the 111th United States Open Polo Championships (26 goal), the nation’s most respected polo tournament offering the most admired trophy in polo. The United States Open Polo Championship is the most celebrated polo tournament in the United States. This grand event dates back to 1904, where it was first played at Meadowbrook Polo Club in Old Westbury, NY and has been played at the International Polo Club Palm Beach in Wellington since 2004. Palm Beach County is privileged to host the United States Polo Association’s most coveted event, which is scheduled to take place from March 25-April 19, 2015. IPC received a great triumph, when the United States Polo Association awarded IPC the Gold Cup, sealing its place in polo history as the first club to possess the “triple crown” of American polo, with all three 26-goal trophies calling IPC home. The Palm Beach Cardinals and the Jupiter Hammerheads (Single A affiliates for the St. Louis Cardinals and the Miami Marlins) will compete for the 2015 Florida State League crown. You can catch a minor league game almost any night between April and September as each team looks to polish players for the big leagues. Minor League Baseball provides is the ultimate family!

IEA Hunt Seat National Finals

The Interscholastic Equestrian Association (IEA) was established in 2002 and has grown to encompass over 8,000 members in 32 states across North America. The mission of the IEA is to introduce students in private and public middle and secondary schools to equestrian sports and to promote and improve the quality of equestrian competition and instruction. The IEA supports two disciplines, Hunt Seat and Western. The IEA is an affiliate of the National Reining Horse Association (NRHA), the United States Equestrian Federation (USEF), the United States Hunter Jumper Association (USHJA) and the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA). The IEA will partner with the Palm Beach County Sports Commission this coming April to host one a national equestrian event in Palm Beach County.

South Florida PGA Junior Champions & Challenge Tour

The South Florida PGA Junior Championship and Challenge Tours are two premiere membership-based junior golf programs providing competitive and fun tournament experiences for golfers with the aspirations and skill levels to compete at the high school and collegiate levels. Both tours encompass an eleven-month season of tournament golf played on championship golf courses. The South Florida PGA Junior Challenge Tour will visit The Fountains Country Club in Lake Worth on April 25-26.

The American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) will travel to the Seagate Country Club in Delray Beach to host 78 of the nation’s top junior golfers. This is a 4 day event with 2 competition days. Both boys and girls from ages 12-18 will golf. Practice rounds take place on Friday, April 24. Tournament play begins on Saturday, April 25 and concludes on Sunday, April 26.

Jupiter Jam

Date: May 1 to 3, 2015
The Jupiter Jam is one of Florida’s premier basketball tournaments and one of the largest United States Specialty Sports Association USSSA qualifiers in the state. The Jupiter Jam, which is produced by the Jupiter Tequesta Athletic Association (JTAA), features separate girls and boys tournaments. The Boys Jam will take place will occur on May 1-3, 2015. The tournaments consist of multiple age divisions that range from 3rd grade to 11th grade. Over 12 venues within North Palm Beach County will be utilized to accommodate the tournaments. The Jupiter Jam serves as a qualifier for the USSSA National Championships. Venues include: Burns Road Recreation Center William T. Dwyer High School Howell L. The Delray Beach ITF (International Tennis Federation) is a Level 4 ITF event for boys and girls in the 18 and under divisions. This event will be held from May 9-16, 2015 at the Delray Beach Tennis Center and the Delray Swim & Tennis Club. The main singles draw consists of 64 boys and 64 girls, while a separate qualifying draw hosts another 64 boys and 64 girls. These 256 players will also compete in a doubles draw of 64 teams per gender.

Palm Beach Cup

Date: May 8 to 10, 2015
Location: Mirasol Park
The Palm Beach Cup is a Florida Youth Soccer Association (FYSA) sanctioned soccer tournament for boys and girls. Last year’s tournament saw over 180+ teams participate from all over the country. The Palm Beach Cup is not only defined by its ability to attract some of the top youth teams, players and coaches from around the county , but also by its impact on the local economy. Teams will compete in a wide array of age groups that range from 8u to 15u. The Palm Beach Cup will feature more than 200 soccer games will at multiple facilities. The Palm Beach Cup venues include Mirasol Park, PGA Park, Gardens Park, Lilac Park, and Palm Beach Gardens High School in Palm Beach Gardens as well as Northwood University in West Palm Beach. Since the tournament is unrestricted, traveling teams affiliated with other soccer organizations, such as AYSO and US Club Soccer, are welcomed to participate in the tournament.
