XPE NFL Combine Prep Training

Xtreme Performance Enhancement (XPE) Sports will conduct a pre-draft training camp for athletes aspiring to play football in the National Football League. The XPE NFL Combine Prep Training prepares future professional football players, both physically and mentally, for the 4-day draft evaluation period that is executed by the NFL. Approximately 24 athletes will travel from across the country to train in this intensive combine, which starts on January 5, 2014 and lasts until April 10. XPE Sports will utilize the Seacrest Soccer Complex in Delray Beach, the new Jaco Atlantic Hybrid Training Center in north Boca Raton, and the Florida Atlantic University as venues to conduct the combine. In the past, college stars such as Jacoby Ford (Clemson), Jahvid Best (California), Kareem Jackson (Alabama), and Eric Berry (Tennessee) participated in this event. Winter Equestrian Festival

Location: Palm Beach International Equestrian Center
The FTI Consulting Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF) is the world's largest and longest running equestrian competition. The 12-week event, which runs from January through March, awards over $6 million dollars in prize money and hosts 5,000 horses and 2,800 riders from 50 states and 31 countries. During WEF, spectators can enjoy Saturday Night Lights every Saturday evening beginning at 6 pm. The FTI Consulting Winter Equestrian Festival is run by Equestrian Sport Productions, LLC and Wellington Equestrian Partners and held at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center.

Global Dressage Festival

The Global Dressage Festival (GDF) is one of the world's largest international and national dressage circuits featuring five CDIs, including a 5*, the first non-championship CDIO Nations' Cup in the Western Hemisphere, and nine U.S. national events. The GDF offers more than $275,000 in prize money for the five international competitions, making it one of the richest circuits in the world. In addition to the CDIs with national competitions, the GDF features four separate national shows to be held at the newly constructed venue that extends the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center (PBIEC) show grounds. The GDF encompasses almost 60 acres of the former Palm Beach Polo Grounds. Knock & Roll Wheelchair Rugby Tournament

Date: Jan 23 to 25, 2015
Location: Lake Worth Theraputic Center
The South Florida Rattlers, Inc. and Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation will host the 14th Annual Knock & Roll Wheelchair Rugby tournament at the Lake Worth Therapeutic Center's gymnasium on January 23-25, 2015. Wheelchair Rugby is the only organized full contact wheelchair sport in the world today. The United States Quad Rugby Association sanctions the event. The USQRA National Team will compete against teams from other countries, but this year will re-emphasize teams from within the United States Quad Rugby Association. This model has seen growth in other tournaments across the country. The event will host a projected 8 teams and 250 competitors.

The Ylvisaker Cup is a 20 goal polo tournament that takes from January 28 through February 22, 2015 at the International Polo. A visionary businessman and former captain of the Yale polo team, Bill Ylvisaker founded Palm Beach Polo & Country Club. He also founded the Polo Training Foundation to teach and develop young polo players. During his playing career, Ylvisaker was a 7-goal player, and won three U.S. Open championships, two Coronation Cups against England and Australia, the U.S. Polo Association Gold Cup and four national 20-goal championships. Cherry Blossom Open XXI & The USA Cup

Delray Beach is becoming an epicenter for Judo. The Palm Beach County Sports Commission is partnering with Tomodachi Judo Club to host the Cherry Blossom Open XXI & The USA Judo Cup at Atlantic High School in Delray Beach. Competitors will participate in a variety of age divisions, (youth and adults), which feature both a Shiai and Kata competition for boys and girls. Shiai is a contest between two competitors to determine a winner of a match. The Kata competition allows competitors to demonstrate their form and ability to conduct formal exercises comprising of a fixed sequence of basic self-defense and attacking techniques. A selection of skill levels were on display, which will range from white belts to black belts. Competitors from across the globe will travel to participate in the USA Cup. Dolphin Cycling Challenge

The Dolphins Cycling Challenge is a two-day, tri-county cycling event which donates 100% of rider-raised funds to innovative cancer research at Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center. Since 2010, DCC riders have raised almost $7 million. The 2015 DCC has six different routes starting at different locations and times during the weekend. Four of these routes begin or end in Palm Beach County, utilizing both downtown West Palm Beach's Meyer Amphitheater and Boca Raton's Florida Atlantic University.
