The Palm Beach Cardinals and the Jupiter Hammerheads (Single-A affiliates for the St. Louis Cardinals and the Miami Marlins) will compete for the 2015 Florida State League crown. You can catch a minor league game almost any night between April and September as each team looks to polish players for the big leagues. Minor League Baseball provides us the ultimate family!

Phantoms 2015 Season Schedule

An exciting new team, The Palm Beach Phantoms will begin its season in the spring of 2015. The Phantoms, South Florida’s up and coming developmental sports franchise, will enter the World Developmental Football League in May, 2015 to compete in its 2015 season. The WDFL is an Adult Amateur football league designed to teach, develop, and expose adult football players to scouts at the COLLEGE, NFL, AFL1, AFL2, and International levels, respectively, while providing each community an exciting brand of football and entertainment.

Under Armour Firecracker Classic

Date: Jun 29 to Jul 3, 2015
Location: Roger Dean Stadium
The Under Armour Firecracker Classic is one of four Team One Baseball National Tournaments that will take place at Roger Dean Stadium in Jupiter, FL. The event, scheduled for June 29-July 3, is a wood composite bat tournament that features both a 16u and 18u age division. Over 50 teams are expected to compete. Teams will play three (3) pool play games and a minimum guarantee of three (4) total games. Players will have an opportunity to earn an invitation to the Under Armour / Team One National Showcases. The tournament will attract a large number of collegiate and professional baseball scouts.

Cal Ripken Baseball Rookie State Championship

Date: Jul 1 to 5, 2015
Location: Gardens Park
The Palm Beach Gardens Youth Athletic Association (PBGYAA) will host the Cal Ripken Rookie State Championships at Gardens Park on July 1-5. The event will determine the state champion for the rookie division, which features youth players between the ages of 7 and 8. The tournament will attract 40 teams and 600 youth players across Florida. Approximately 70 baseball games will take place during the 4 day tournament. Teams are guaranteed at least 3 games. The rookie division requires machine pitches for batters. Cal Ripken Baseball is one of the most prestigious organizations in the nation that offers tournaments for little leaguers. Cal Ripken Baseball hosts hundreds of tournaments and camps annually, including the Cal Ripken Baseball World Series in Aberdeen, Maryland.

Cal Ripken Baseball Rookie State Championship

The United States Specialty Sports Association (USSSA) Fastpitch Softball State Championships will take place in Palm Beach County from July 3-5, 2015. USSSA will host its “A” “B” and “C” skill divisions, which will attract over 140 teams from across Florida and the southeast region. The USSSA Fastpitch Softball State Championships will take place at Seminole Palms Park, John Prince Park, Okeeheelee Park, Lake Charleston, Lake Lytal Park, Caloosa Park, and South County Regional Park. This tournament includes top skill level teams competing at a variety of age divisions ranging from 8 & under to 18 & under. This will be the largest softball tournament taking place in Florida this summer and the first time that Palm Beach County has hosted all 3 Divisions of USSSA Girls Softball State Championships in the same year.

Major League Lacrosse: Florida Launch vs. Charlotte Hounds

The Palm Beach County Sports Commission is partnering with USA Track & Field and Behind the Athlete to host the USA Track & Field (USATF) Region 16 Track & Field Championships at William T. Dwyer High School, the Benjamin School, and Florida Atlantic University on July 9-12, 2015. The event is expected to attract over 1,500 athletes from across Florida. This USATF meet will feature boys and girls competing in a variety of age groups that range from 8u to 18u. This is expected to be the largest statewide track meet taking place in Florida during 2015. USA Baseball 15U National Team Championships

Palm Beach County will be home to the most admired amateur baseball event in the United States. In partnership with the Palm Beach County Sports Commission, USA Baseball will host its National Team Championship for the 15U age group at Roger Dean Stadium in Jupiter on July 10-18, 2015. This event will attract over 40 teams and over 700 athletes from across the nation to compete for the most coveted amateur championship in the 15U age group. .Each team is scheduled to play 7 games. This is an annual event that serves as the eastern region championship, which takes place along with the western championship in Arizona. The USA Baseball National Team Championships will be the largest amateur baseball tournament taking place in Palm Beach County this summer.

USTA Girls' National 12 Clay Court Championships

Location: Polo Club
The United States Tennis Association (USTA) Girls’ National Clay Court Championships will take place at the Polo Club of Boca Raton, which is a private tennis facility that maintains 29 clay courts. The event is scheduled to take place from July 12-18, 2015. The event is a junior tennis tournament girls that are 12 years old and under. The draw consists of 128 players in a modified compass singles draw and in a 64 single elimination doubles draw. This is 1 of 4 national championships that takes place in the United States for this age group.

The USTA Boys 18’s & 16’s National Clay Court Championships is the highest level USTA junior tennis tournament in the country for boys 18u & 16u divisions. This event will be held from July 9-18, 2015 at the Delray Beach Tennis Center, Delray Swim & Tennis Club, and at the Broken Sound, Boca West, and Woodfield Country Clubs. The draw consists of more than 390 of the highest-ranked players in the US competing in singles and doubles competition.

Optimist International Junior Golf Championships

Location: PGA National Resort & Spa
The Optimist International Junior Golf Championships is one of the largest and well-known junior golf tournaments in the world. The tournament will take place on July 16-31, 2015 at PGA National Resort & Spa in Palm Beach Gardens. This event will attract more than 700 youth golfers from the United States, Canada, and 30 other countries. Boys and girls from 10 & under to 13 & under will compete from July 16-21. Boys and girls between the ages of 13-15 will compete from July 21-26. Boys and girls between the ages of 15-18 will compete from July 26-31. Optimists have been involved in the sport of junior golf for more than 30 years by holding local, regional and international tournaments. More than 5,000 golfers compete in official Optimist District qualifying tournaments. The best of these golfers, along with international golfers from around the globe, advance to the annual Optimist International Junior Golf Championships.
