Roger Dean Stadium will be home to exciting Florida State League Baseball from April 7 to September 4, 2016. The Palm Beach Cardinals and the Jupiter Hammerheads (Single-A affiliates for the St. Louis Cardinals and the Miami Marlins) will compete for the 2016 Florida State League crown. You can catch a minor league game almost any night between April and September as each team looks to polish players for the big leagues. Minor League Baseball provides us the ultimate family!

South Florida Collegiate Baseball League

The South Florida Collegiate Baseball League provides amateur players an opportunity to showcase themselves in hopes of reaching the professional ranks. The South Florida Collegiate League consists of ten (10) teams that play a 40 game regular season schedule. This event is a wood bat summer collegiate baseball league that will span over 2 months during the summer of 2016. Opening day will be Friday June 3rd and the regular season will conclude on Thursday, July 23rd. The South Florida Collegiate Baseball League features an All Star Game, which is scheduled for July 9th. The League’s playoffs and championships series is scheduled for July 24-27.

USA Baseball 15U National Team Championships

Location: Roger Dean Stadium
Palm Beach County will be home to the most admired amateur baseball event in the United States. In partnership with the Palm Beach County Sports Commission, USA Baseball will host its National Team Championship for the 15U age group at Roger Dean Stadium in Jupiter on July 23-30, 2016. This event will attract over 40 teams and over 700 athletes from across the nation to compete for the most coveted amateur championship in the 15U age group. Each team is scheduled to play 7 games. This is an annual event that serves as the eastern region championship, which takes place along with the western championship in Arizona. The USA Baseball National Team Championships will be the largest amateur baseball tournament taking place in Palm Beach County this summer.

Coast to Coast Baseball Showcase

Coast to Coast Baseball prepares the nation's top high school baseball players for success at the collegiate and professional levels. Our goal is to build and showcase the skills of young, aspiring athletes in an environment that allows them to experience what it's like to play at the college level. Most of the players on our teams are selected at our open tryouts held around the country. Those that are unable to attend tryouts are selected based on their direct recommendation from a college coach or professional scout. Once chosen, players work with top college coaches and pro scouts at one of our showcase events held at the Roger Dean Sports Complex in Jupiter, Fla.

Ball Stars Youth Camp

Ball Stars Youth Camp is led by former NBA All-Stars Otis Birdsong & Micheal Ray Richardson. The program has been running for 8 years featuring former NBA players travelling around the country and to Canada to help deserving youth reach their potential. In addition to teaching basketball skills, we invite prominent business and local community leaders to join us and share their life experiences with campers. This is a FREE basketball camp offered to youth and teens in our local community. We provide food and equipment for all participants.

Cal Ripken Baseball Rookie State Championships

Date: Jun 29 to Jul 3, 2016
Location: Gardens Park
The Palm Beach Gardens Youth Athletic Association (PBGYAA) will host the Cal Ripken Rookie State Championships at Gardens Park on June 29 – July 3, 2016. The event will determine the state champion for the rookie division, which features youth players between the ages of 7 and 8. The tournament will attract 50 teams and 650 youth players across Florida. Approximately 100 baseball games will take place during the 4 day tournament. Teams are guaranteed at least 3 games. The rookie division requires machine pitches for batters. Gardens Park is one of the premier youth baseball complexes in Palm Beach County. The facility maintains 8 lighted youth fields and 7 batting cages. Cal Ripken Baseball is one of the most prestigious organizations in the nation that offers tournaments for little leaguers. Cal Ripken Baseball hosts hundreds of tournaments and camps annually, including the Cal Ripken Baseball 10U World Series, which will also take place at Gardens Park in August.

AYSO National Games

Palm Beach County will be home to one of the largest and most prestigious youth soccer events that takes place in the United States. The American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO) will partner with the Palm Beach County Sports Commission to host the AYSO National Games at the International Polo Club in Wellington, from July 4-10, 2016. AYSO invites over 240 soccer teams, consisting of more than 4,000 athletes and 10,000 total visitors to participate in the National Games, making this one of the most renowned soccer events in the United States. The participating teams will contend for titles in boy’s and girl's divisions, featuring a variety of age groups (Under 10 to Under 19). Over 1,200 soccer games will take place during the 2016 AYSO National Games, creating an unrivaled number of amateur soccer games that takes place during a single event.

South Florida PGA Junior Champions & Challenge Tour

The South Florida PGA Junior Championship and Challenge Tours are premiere membership-based junior golf programs providing competitive and fun tournament experiences for golfers with the aspirations and skill levels to compete at the high school and collegiate levels. Both tours encompass an eleven-month season of tournament golf played on championship golf courses. The South Florida PGA Junior Challenge Tour will visit the Breakers Rees Jones Course on July 6-7. This junior golf tournament will feature 36 holes of golf. A total of 84 boys and girls will be competing in a variety of age groups (11-12, 13-15, & 16-18). The Palm Beach County Sports Commission is supporting the South Florida PGA Junior Champions & Challenge Tour grow throughout the Palm Beaches.

Florida State Water Ski Championships

Location: Okeeheelee Park
The Palm Beach County Sports Commission will support the Ski Club of the Palm Beaches to host the Florida State Waterski Championships at Okeeheelee Park on July 9-10. The event is sanctioned by the Florida Waterski Federation (FWF), which is affiliated with the American Waterski Association and the state chapter for USA Water Ski. The Florida State Water Ski Championships consists of both boys and girls divisions and adult and high school age groups. Approximately 150 water ski athletes are expected to travel from across Florida to compete in the state championships. Advancement to the Florida is primarily earned through placement on the American Waterski Association rankings list. Athletes can also qualify by placing in FWF state tournaments or by placing in the top-five at the previous year’s states championship.
