Eugene Mische to receive the 2009 Annual Presidents Award At the Palm Beach County Sports Hall of Fame

President of the Palm Beach County Sports Commission, Donald Dufresne, a partner at the law firm Greenspoon Marder, P.A., has announced that Eugene Mische will be the 2009 President’s Award recipient. The award will be presented during the Palm Beach County Sports Hall of Fame Induction Banquet and Annual Sports Awards on March 29, 2009. Eugene Mische, founder and CEO of Stadium Jumping, will be the second recipient in this prestigious award’s brief history. The President’s Award recognizes representatives from Palm Beach County who have achieved excellence in sports.

Mische, who has focused his equestrian career and activities in Florida for more than four decades, is greatly deserving of this award. Through his leadership, vision and commitment to the equestrian community, he has made Stadium Jumping one of America’s premier horse show management organizations. They are responsible for bringing the first World Cup to the U.S, produced the second Volvo World Cup ever held in the U.S., produced the first-ever outdoor Nations’ Cup, and most recognizable for Palm Beach County is producing the Wellington based Winter Equestrian Festival, which, each year brings in over 85,000 room nights and $57 million of economic impact for Palm Beach County.

Eugene Mische will be honored along with the 2009 Palm Beach County Sports Hall of Fame Inductees and Annual Sports Award Finalists. The 2009 Inductees include: Ray Botel, Mark Calcavecchia, Daryl Ceravolo, Joey Ceravolo, Tom D’Angelo, Bill Davis, C.W. (Web) Pell, Charlie Persson, Jack Rhine and Howard Schnellenberger.
