Sports Commission Elects New Officers
Palm Beach County Sports Commission Board of Directors and Officer Elections were held at the Annual Meeting, Tuesday, Feb. 17. Patty Dent of BankAtlantic was elected President, Michael Brady of L.B. Limited & Associates, Inc., was elected Vice President, and Guy Quattlebaum of Butzel Long Attorneys was elected Secretary/Treasurer - each for a two year term.
Patty Dent, a Senior Vice-President, Regional Manager in south Palm Beach County for BankAtlantic said “I have been involved with the Palm Beach County Sports Commission for many years; it’s an honor for me to serve as its president”. Patty has been involved with the Palm Beach County Sports Commission for over 10 years, and previously held the position of Secretary/Treasurer. She has been with BankAtlantic for 18 years, and in the banking industry for 25 years. She has also served as chairman of the board of the Jupiter Tequesta Juno Beach Chamber of Commerce.
Michael Brady is a partner in the PR firm, L. B. Limited & Associates, Inc., Michael is involved in many organizations including, the Business Advisory Council, National Republican Congressional Committee, is a graduate of Leadership Palm Beach County, 1996, and is an Executive Committee member of the Red Cross Greater Palm Beach. He is a graduate of Minneapolis Technical Institute.
Guy E. Quattlebaum, Esq., is a member of the Litigation Group in the Palm Beach office of Butzel Long. Mr. Quattlebaum was named a Florida “Legal Elite” by Florida Trend Magazine in 2006, 2007 and 2008. He has also achieved an AV-Rating from Martindale Hubbell’s Peer Review Rating system, the highest rating in both professional ability and ethical standards.
Newly elected to the Board of Directors was Robert Broadway, FHFMA, MBA. Mr. Broadway is Vice President of Corporate Strategy for Bethesda Healthcare System in West Palm Beach. He is a former Chief Financial Officer of a major Hospital, Chief Executive Officer of a large multi-specialty group practice, and has expertise in policy development, strategic planning, information technology and planning. Mr. Broadway is the Chairman of Healthcare Financial Management Association for 2008-09, a professional membership organization of 35,000 members in healthcare Finance. He is also Chairman of the AIF Florida Hospital Council.
Re-elected to the Board of Directors are; Carol Coleman from the United States Equestrian Federation and Canadian Equestrian Federation, John DeMott, retired sportscaster, Jason Myers from JCD Sports Group, Laura South from The Merchant Strategy, Ellie Wyatt from the Hilton Garden Inn and Jeff Zipper from the Private Client Group National City.
