Florida Invitational Super Stars Chess Tournament

The top chess players in Florida are coming to Palm Beach County this weekend, May 15-17, for the annual Florida Invitational Super Stars Chess Tournament (State Scholastic All Stars Tournament). The event is being held at the Embassy Suites, on PGA Boulevard in Palm Beach Gardens, and believed to be the first time this event has been held in Palm Beach County.

Top scholastic chess players and teams from throughout the State will be participating. 275 competitors are expected in 5 divisions, from kindergarten through high school. The top male and female finishers in the high school division will each receive stipends for the National Tournament of State High School Champions taking place in Indiana and Texas this summer.

The tournament is organized by the Florida Scholastic Chess League (FSCL), sanctioned by the Florida Chess Association (FCA) and sponsored by the Palm Beach County Sports Commission.
