2009 Lois Kwasman Award Goes to Carol Coleman

WEST PALM BEACH, FLA. (December 10, 2009) – During the 18th Annual Lou Groza Collegiate Place-Kicker Awards at the Kravis Center, Carol Coleman was presented with the Lois Kwasman MVP Award, a recognition bestowed upon an outstanding board member of the Palm Beach County Sports Commission (PBCSC).

The award was named after the late Lois Kwasman, in honor of her hard work and dedication as a board member with the Palm Beach County Sports Commission, as well as a leader in the community. “Carol is very deserving of the Lois Kwasman Award, as she has gone beyond the call of duty for the PBCSC.” said Patty Dent, president of the PBCSC and senior vice-president/regional Manager for BankAtlantic.

Coleman, a Wellington resident, is a Large “R” judge for the United States Equestrian Federation and the Canadian Equestrian Federation, and founder and president of the non-profit R.W. Mutch Education Foundation which provides scholarships to gifted equestrians. As chair of the Membership Committee, her endless energy and abilities have been instrumental in growing membership and activities of the PBCSC, as well as identifying and securing new sporting events in Palm Beach County.

The Lou Groza Award is presented by the FedEx Orange Bowl and is also sponsored by The Breakers, Continental Airlines, Enterprise rent-a-car, ESPN Radio 760, ESPN Regional Television, Ceebraid Signal Corporation/Richard Schlesinger, Kiwanis International, a Local Charitable Organization, JBS Destination Solutions, McGladrey & Pullen LLP, The Palm Beach Post, Parallax Productions, Bus One LLC, The Tux Shop, and WPEC News 12.
