Lois Kwasman Award Winners Announced

Jeff Zipper and Michael Brady take home the Lois Kwasman Award

WEST PALM BEACH, FL:  During the recent 17th Annual Lou Groza Collegiate Place-Kicker Awards, the Palm Beach County Sports Commission recognized two outstanding Board members, Jeff Zipper and Michael Brady, who both received the Lois Kwasman MVP Award.

This Award was named after the late Lois Kwasman in honor of her hard work and dedication as a member of the Palm Beach County Sports Commission Board of Directors, as well as a leader in the community. “This award recognizes Board members who have gone above and beyond the call of duty during the past year”, stated Don Dufresne, Palm Beach County Sports Commission President, and partner of law firm Greenspoon Marder.

Not pictured here Michael Brady, Lois Kwasman Award Recipient.Jeff Zipper, Senior Vice President for Private Client Group National City, is the chair of two committees and sits on the Executive Committee for the Sports Commission. As the chair of the Kids Fitness Festival of the Palm Beaches, the 2008 event had a record number in attendance, with over 6,000 kids participating. Zipper is also chair of the Facilities Committee; exploring the development of new facility projects, and helping to maximize the use of current facilities in Palm Beach County.

Michael Brady, a partner in public relations firm L. B. Limited & Associates, Inc. is the chair of the Public Relations Committee, and sits on multiple other committees including the Executive Committee. As Public Relations Chair, Michael has been instrumental in planning and implementing the re-branding of the Sports Commission. Under his guidance, the Sports Commission has developed a new logo and identity, including an exciting new website scheduled to go live in a few weeks.

The Lou Groza Award is presented by the FedEx Orange Bowl.
