Palm Beach County Hosts Over 100 Soccer Teams for
4th Annual Palm Beach Cup

WEST PALM BEACH, FL –Palm Beach Soccer Academy (PBSA) will host the 4th Annual Palm Beach Cup/Matt DeOrsey Trophy Tournament, a Florida Youth Soccer Association (FYSA) sanctioned event.  The tournament will take place at PGA National Park, Burns Road Soccer Complex and Mirasol Park on May 6-8, 2011.

In 2008, the inaugural tournament hosted 30 teams competing in six different age groups.  Since then, the tournament has tripled in size.  In 2010, 85 teams participated with over 3,000 players and spectators visiting the Palm Beach County area.  This year, the tournament is expected to expand with over 100 teams competing in 11 age groups from 8 and under through 18 and under.

Tournament play is scheduled for Friday, May 6 from 6pm-8pm; Saturday, May 7 from 8am to 6pm and Sunday, May 8 from 8am to 4pm.  For additional information, visit www.palmbeachcup.com.

The tournament honors Matt DeOrsey, a PBSA coach, father and friend who passed away suddenly prior to the inaugural tournament.  His dedication to the sport and the club is memorialized in the trophy awarded to the winning age-group teams.
