Who is Sporty?

Sporty is the mascot of the Palm Beach County Sports Institute. Sporty likes to participate in fun kids events, spreading his message of “Just Say Yes to Sports.” Sporty especially likes parades, special events, kids’ clubs and schools. Even though Sporty doesn’t talk, his outgoing personality and fun-loving spirit help to add an extra buzz to sports-oriented kids’ activities.

What does Sporty do at events?

• A typical Sporty appearance is 20-30 minutes due to the Florida heat
• Sporty loves to horse around, meet young people, and occasionally make friends with other mascots
• Sporty enjoys encouraging youngsters in their sporty endeavors
• Sporty is a great cheerleader
• Sporty likes to congratulate children for great sports achievements
  

How do I get Sporty to come to my event?

Complete the application form, and send it back to us with the correct fees. For an application form please call at (561) 233-3122.

What do I need to provide?

A minimum of:

A name and cell phone number of the person greeting Sporty upon arrival at the function
An appropriate area for Sporty to change into costume
One adult (18 years or more) to accompany Sporty during his appearance

Please note:

Sporty gets a lot of requests, and does his best not to disappoint anyone. However, Sporty can only be in one place at a time.
