DELRAY BEACH, Fla. – Basketball fans and families alike experienced an exciting weekend of sports, entertainment, and community at the NBA Josh Howard King of The City Basketball Tournament & Festival, which took place August 1-2 in Delray Beach.
Presented by the Palm Beach County Sports Commission, the event was hosted by former NBA standout Josh Howard and featured a competitive men’s and women’s basketball tournament alongside a variety of family-friendly activities designed for all ages.
The weekend included live music, food vendors, games, activities, and entertainment, creating a festival atmosphere both on and off the court at Pompey Park Gymnasium and the Delray Beach Community Center.
The event highlighted the power of sports to bring communities together while providing local athletes an opportunity to compete and showcase their skills. Fans enjoyed high-level basketball action throughout the weekend while participating in activities designed to engage the entire family.
Doors opened at 10 a.m. each day, with activities and tournament play taking place throughout the weekend. The Josh Howard All-Star Weekend drew players, families, and fans from across South Florida, further enhancing Palm Beach County’s reputation as a premier destination for sports tourism and community events.
