The Palm Beach County Sports Commission held the eighth annual Holiday Basketball Classic of The Palm Beaches from December 27-28 and 30, 2024. This premier high school basketball invitational brought together top teams from across the nation for three days of competition at three venues throughout the region.
Since its inception in 2016, the Holiday Basketball Classic of The Palm Beaches has become a cornerstone of the Sports Commission’s efforts to promote and support high school sports within the community while simultaneously boosting tourism. This event was created to provide a national stage for basketball, a sport that enjoys a long and storied tradition in The Palm Beaches. Over the years, it has grown, drawing more teams and spectators each year, contributing significantly to the local economy.
“The Holiday Basketball Classic of The Palm Beaches has been a platform for nationwide teams and their families to showcase their talents in our beautiful region,” said Jeff Zipper, Committee Chair of the Holiday Basketball Classic. “This tournament has grown year after year to the point where we expect it to continue to attract substantial tourism and provide local spectators with a unique opportunity to watch some of the best basketball players in the country in their own backyard.”
