Governor's Baseball Dinner

As one of the state’s most time-honored traditions, the Governor’s Baseball Dinner, celebrates the opening of spring training in Florida. The dinner will be preceded by a VIP Baseball Legends Reception and meet and greet. MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred and representatives from teams who annually train in Florida are scheduled to attended along with celebrity baseball players from several teams.

The Lucchese 40 Goal Challenge

Location: International Polo Club Palm Beach
The 40-Goal Polo Challenge is the marquee fundraising event of the Polo Players Support Group (PPSG) and is the highest level of polo played in North America. The event brings together the world’s top polo players who participate in the annual event to raise awareness and charitable funds. The match concludes with the awards presentation on the field and is followed by dinner with silent and live auctions.

The Ylvisaker Cup takes place from January 11 to February 10, 2019 at the International Polo Club. This is one of the most renowned 20 goal polo tournaments in the nation. A visionary businessman and former captain of the Yale polo team, Bill Ylvisaker founded Palm Beach Polo and Country Club. He also founded the Polo Training Foundation to teach and develop young polo players. During his playing career, Ylvisaker was a 7-goal player and won three U.S. Open Polo championships, two Coronation Cups against England and Australia, the U.S. Polo Association Gold Cup, and four national, 20-goal championships. Holiday Basketball Classic of the Palm Beaches

Date: Dec 26 to 29, 2018
The Holiday Basketball Classic of the Palm Beaches (HBC) national basketball tournament will consist of two Championship Divisions for both Boys’ and Girls’ High School Basketball teams. The National Championship and American Challenge divisions will consist of teams invited from all over the country to play in a very challenging and competitive bracket with some of the best teams in America. This national high school basketball tournament, featuring both boy’s and girl’s divisions, will take place on December 26-29, 2018. The tournament will feature 32 teams (16 boy’s teams and 16 girl’s teams) competing in a single elimination game format. Although teams will be eliminated from a championship after 1 loss, a consolation bracket will be established guaranteeing that all teams will play 3 games. A total of three venues in Palm Beach County will be host to the tournament.
