The Delray Beach Open is a professional men’s tournament, the only combined ATP World Tour & Champions Tour event, in the world. The ATP World Tour event, one of only 10 in the United States, will take place from February 17 to 26, 2017 at the Delray Beach Tennis Center. Past participants have included stars such as Andy Roddick, Andre Agassi, Mardy Fish, Jimmy Connors, and James Blake. The 10-day tournament is seen nationally and internationally in over 120 countries with a potential reach of 128.2 million homes. The main draw consists of 32 world class tennis players. Prior to the ATP World Tour Event, the Delray Beach Tennis Center will host the only ATP Champions Tour event in the United States for the sixth consecutive year.

OneHockey Florida Invitational Shootout

Location: Palm Beach Ice Works
The Palm Beach County Sports Commission will host the OneHockey Florida Invitational Shootout from February 17-20 at Palm Beach Skate Zone in Lake Worth and Palm Beach Ice Works in West Palm Beach. OneHockey is a leading provider of ice hockey tournaments in North America. OneHockey’s four day event at Palm Beach Skate Zone and Ice Works will attract approximately 45 youth hockey teams consisting of more than 750 athletes. Teams will travel from across the Nation and globe countries such as Canada, China, Latvia and Estonia are expected to send teams to this tournament. Age groups include squirt, peewee, bantam, under 16 and under 18.

Cherry Blossom Open XXIII

Palm Beach County is becoming an epicenter for Judo. The Palm Beach County Sports Commission is partnering with Tomodachi Judo Club to host the Cherry Blossom Open XXIII & The USA Judo Cup at Congress Middle School in Boynton Beach. Competitors will participate in a variety of age divisions, (youth and adults), which feature both a Shiai and Kata competition for boys and girls. Shiai is a contest between two competitors to determine a winner of a match. The Kata competition allows competitors to demonstrate their form and ability to conduct formal exercises comprising of a fixed sequence of basic self-defense and attacking techniques. The Allianz Championship, the first full-field PGA Champions Tour event of the season, will tee-off with a celebrated roster of golf legends at the Old Course at Broken Sound Club in Boca Raton for the tenth consecutive year from February 6-12, 2017. Tournament week is jam-packed with interactive “events within the event” before and during championship play with opportunities for “up close and personal” interaction with pros for golf fans of all ages.As the first in the early-season Florida swing, tournament play will include golf legends such as Tom Lehman, Bernard Langer, Corey Pavin, Nick Price, Colin Montgomerie, Mark O’Meara, Tom Kite, and Ben Crenshaw, all vying for the winner’s share of a $1.8 million purse. Knock & Roll Wheelchair Rugby Tournament

The South Florida Rattlers, Inc. and Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation will host the 16th Annual Knock & Roll Wheelchair Rugby tournament at the Lake Worth Therapeutic Center’s gymnasium on January 13-15, 2017. Wheelchair Rugby is the only organized full contact wheelchair sport in the world today. The United States Quad Rugby Association sanctions the event. The USQRA National Team will compete against teams from other countries, but this year will re-emphasize teams from within the United States Quad Rugby Association. This model has seen growth in other tournaments across the country. The event will host a projected 8 teams and 250 competitors.

Winter Equestrian Festival

The 2017 Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF) is the world's largest and longest running equestrian competition. The 12-week event, which runs from January 11 through April 2, hosts 6,500 horses and thousands of riders from all 50 states and 33 nations. Participants compete in Hunters, Jumpers, and Equitation classifications with prize money exceeding $8 million. In addition to Olympic-caliber competition, WEF hosts the nation’s premier events for children, juniors, adults and amateurs; for riders aged from 6 to 70 years old in more than 70 unique divisions of competition. WEF is a season of intense competition with thousands of competitors and spectators in attendance. Each week is considered an individual horse show with the world’s best riders competing in any given week within 12 show rings throughout the state-of-the-art equestrian show complex.
