The Palm Beach Cardinals and the Jupiter Hammerheads (Single-A affiliates for the St. Louis Cardinals and the Miami Marlins) will compete for the 2016 Florida State League crown. You can catch a minor league game almost any night between April and September as each team looks to polish players for the big leagues. Minor League Baseball provides us the ultimate family!

Location: PGA National Resort & Spa
The American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) will bring the Core Golf Academy Junior All-Star to the Palm Beaches on March 24-27. This event, which will take place on the Fazio Course at the PGA National Resort & Spa, will feature 132 golfers competing over 54 holes of stroke play. The tournament features both boys and girls golfers from the ages of 12 to 15. The Core Golf Academy Junior All-Star will field one of strongest field of golfers competing in AJGA tournaments. The highest ranked AJGA golfers are invited to play in this tournament.

The Iglehart Cup Final will take place on March 5, 2015. The Iglehart Cup is played in honor of Phillip Iglehart, a seven-goal player who competed on numerous championship polo teams. He was instrumental in founding the Polo Museum and Hall of Fame. Phillip was the key figure in relocating the Gulfstream Polo Club in Lake Worth, FL when development forced the club from its former oceanside location in Briney Breezes, FL. Teams may either play in the Iglehart or the C.V. Whitney. If the Iglehart doesn’t meet the maximum of 8 teams; C.V. Whitney teams may draw for remaining spots. The 2016 Wellington Wolves March Madness basketball tournament will be held from March 4th to 6th at the Wellington Village Park Recreational facility and other gymnasiums in the surrounding area. The Wellington Wolves March Madness tournament is a well-established and prestigious basketball event that attracts teams from all over central and southern Florida to Palm Beach County every March. The tournament is sanctioned under the United States Specialty Sports Association (USSSA. Over 110 teams across 9 grade levels (3rd to 11th) will compete.

The Major League Baseball (MLB) Spring Training season begins in March as the St. Louis Cardinals, Champions of the National League Central Division, and Miami Marlins play a total of 29 games in the Grapefruit League at Roger Dean Stadium in Jupiter. The season will witness the Marlins and Cardinals competing against some of the most talented teams in Major League Baseball. Roger Dean Stadium will showcase the Miami Marlins and St. Louis Cardinals as they compete against perennial playoff contenders, such as the New York Yankees, New York Mets, Boston Red Sox, Atlanta Braves, Baltimore Orioles, and Washington Nationals.

The Honda Classic

Location: PGA National Resort & Spa
The Honda Classic brings the world's best PGA TOUR players to Palm Beach County, providing a week of entertainment for the entire community, with a greater goal of supporting South Florida charities through the Children's Healthcare Charity, Inc. The Honda Classic will take place on February 22-28 at the PGA National Resort & Spa in Palm Beach Gardens. Last year’s event once again featured golf legends, such as Phil Mickleson, and Rory McIlroy. The tournament will consist of 144 golfers competing over 72 holes. Golfers are competing for a total purse of $6 million. The Champions Course at PGA National is a major reason why The Honda Classic has blossomed into one of the elite events on the PGA TOUR. The Champion course has become known as one of the most challenging layouts in tournament golf. The Bear Trap, comprised of Holes 15-17, is considered one of the toughest stretches of golf on the PGA TOUR. PGA National has helped build Palm Beach County’s storied golf reputation.
