American Junior Golf Association’s Marquee event comes to PGA National Resort


Palm Beach Gardens, FL-The 2011 Polo Golf Junior Classic and the Rolex Junior All-America Banquet will bring 156 of the world’s best junior golfers, ages 12-18, to the PGA National Resort, Nov. 19-25, 2011. The Polo Golf Junior Classic is one of the most prestigious events on the American Junior Golf Association’s (AJGA) schedule and will be played on two courses at PGA National – the Champion Course and the Haig Course. The Champion Course was redesigned by Jack Nicklaus and is a par-72 layout that plays to 7,048 yards, while the par-72 Haig Course was designed by George and Tom Fazio and plays to 6,806 yards.


Along with great junior golf, the weeklong festivities include the Rolex Junior All-America Banquet which honors junior golf’s best. During the banquet, the Rolex Junior Players of the Year, Rolex Junior All-Americans, HP Scholastic All-Americans, and the Jerry Cole Sportsmanship Award winner will be recognized.

The American Junior Golf Association is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the overall growth and development of young men and women who aspire to earn college golf scholarships through competitive junior golf. The largest Association of its kind, the AJGA has an annual junior membership (boys and girls ages 12-18) of more than 5,000 junior golfers from 50 states and more than 30 foreign countries.
