Event to feature upcoming 2016 Olympian Jennifer Samsel, demonstrating and teaching the target sport of Archery.
West Palm Beach, Florida – The spirit of the Olympic Movement will roll into West Palm Beach, as Perfect 10 Archery hosts Mini Olympics/Paralympics family fun day in celebration of Olympic Day 2015.
At Perfect 10 Archery, Olympic Day celebration will take place on Saturday June 27, 2015 from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. The event will kick off with Opening Ceremonies, commemorating the Olympics, lighting of the Olympic Caldron, followed by fun events/clinics, ending with closing ceremonies with fireworks.
“We are excited to take part in Olympic Day and inspire kids in the West Palm Beach community,” said Jennifer Samsel. “Perfect 10 Archery is proud to support the Olympic Movement and encourage children to lead healthy, active lives.”
The Perfect 10 Archery activity is one of more than 700 events taking place nationwide between June 14 and 30. The events, designed to engage youth and promote the ideals of the Olympic movement, feature athlete appearances, family-friendly activities and interactive learning experiences.
Around the world, more than 160 countries take part in the annual celebration. Olympic Day, created in 1948 to commemorate the birth of the modern Olympic Games, focuses on the Olympic values and ideals such as fair play, perseverance, respect and sportsmanship. In the U.S., Olympic Day events range from small gatherings to large, city-wide events.
