A Weekend of Rhythm, Ribbon, and Competition: USA Gymnastics Rhythmic Development Championships

WEST PALM BEACH, FL — The 2026 Rhythmic Development Program Championships will take place June 12–14, 2026 at the Palm Beach County Convention Center, bringing together some of the nation’s top emerging rhythmic gymnastics athletes for a multi-day national competition.

Sanctioned by USA Gymnastics, the Development Program Championships showcase athletes progressing through the sport’s foundational competitive levels, highlighting routines that blend artistry, flexibility, apparatus handling, and precision. The event serves as a key milestone for gymnasts advancing through the Development Program pathway toward higher-level national and international competition.

Athletes from across the United States will compete in individual and group events, performing routines with apparatus including hoop, ball, clubs, and ribbon. Competitors will be judged on execution, difficulty, and artistry as they vie for national titles and podium finishes within their respective divisions.

The championship is expected to bring hundreds of athletes, coaches, and families to The Palm Beaches, activating the Palm Beach County Convention Center and contributing to local tourism and hotel demand throughout the weekend.

The Development Program is a core part of USA Gymnastics’ athlete pipeline, designed to build foundational skills and prepare gymnasts for elite-level competition in the future.

The Palm Beach County Sports Commission is proud to support the Rhythmic Development Program Championships, which continue to bring national-level youth competition to The Palm Beaches while showcasing the region’s ability to host premier gymnastics events.
