AVP Kicks Off 2025 Season in The Palm Beaches with Matches at Delray Beach Tennis Center

The Palm Beach County Sports Commission is proud to welcome the return of the Association of Volleyball Professionals (AVP), the premier professional beach volleyball league in the world, as it opens its 2025 League season this week in The Palm Beaches.

Kicking off Friday, May 23, and continuing through Saturday, May 24, the AVP is transforming the iconic Delray Beach Tennis Center (201 W Atlantic Ave.) into an immersive beach volleyball stadium.

7:00 p.m. – Women: Dallas Dream vs. San Diego Smash

Each match features Olympians, AVP champions, and some of the most exciting athletes in beach volleyball, including 2008 Olympic Gold Medalist and four-time Olympian Phil Dalhausser, 2024 Olympic Silver Medalists Melissa Humana-Paredes and Brandie Wilkerson, and former NBA player Chase Budinger.

In addition to the professional league action, The Palm Beaches will host two elite AVP development competitions over the weekend. The AVP Contender Series – Palm Beach Open, taking place May 24–25, will feature rising professional athletes competing for a share of a $60,000 prize purse and coveted Wild Card entries to the prestigious Manhattan Beach Open. At the same time, the AVP Juniors 4-Star – South Florida Championships will showcase top youth talent as they compete for bids to the AVP Junior National Championships, making this a weekend full of opportunity for the next generation of beach volleyball stars.
