EA Sports College Football 25 to Feature Lou Groza Award

The Lou Groza Award, the nation’s top honor for collegiate football place-kickers, will be included in the upcoming EA Sports College Football 25 video game to be released on July 19. The upcoming game will be the first release in the franchise since 2013 and will feature both the Groza Award and the Heisman Trophy.

The Lou Groza Award was established in 1992 by the Palm Beach County Sports Commission and is presented annually by the Orange Bowl. Since its inception, the Lou Groza Award has seen over 30 finalists, including 17 winners, having gone on to appear in the National Football League (NFL), earning 13 trips to the Pro Bowl and taking home seven Super Bowls. The most recent recipient of the award, Graham Nicholson, won it while at Miami University (OH) and has since transferred to the University of Alabama.

“EA Sports College Football 25 is one of the most anticipated and long-awaited video game titles in history and we are incredibly excited that the Lou Groza Award will be a part of the game,” said George Linley, Executive Director of the Palm Beach County Sports Commission. “The Lou Groza Award is the pinnacle of collegiate football kicking, and we could not be more excited that college football fans from around the world will have a chance to vie for a Groza Award of their own.”
