Event Summary
The Palm Beach County Sports Commission is partnering with American Cornhole League for the first time to host the 2024 American Cornhole League Kick-off Battle on April 3-7, 2024, at the Palm Beach County Convention Center. The American Cornhole League (ACL) promotes and develops cornhole as a sport for any age and skill level. The organization establishes the rules and regulations to govern the sport around the world – stating that “Anyone Can Play, Anyone Can Win.” The American Cornhole League Kick-off Battle is represented by 300 coed athletes mostly ranging from the ages of 18-35 and is expected to attract 300 participants and 450 spectators to Palm Beach County from across the United States. The proposed venue: The Palm Beach County Convention Center, meets the ACL requirements by exceeding the requested square-foot range: 60,000-80,000 square feet, which are necessary for the approximately 90 sets of cornhole boards spread across the area. The Palm Beach County Convention Center can be divided in half when necessary, has an 8-story on-site parking garage with over 2,000 parking spaces and loading docks with direct access to the exhibit hall, and is located in West Palm Beach with direct access to shopping and dining destinations, the beach, and 10 hotels within a three-mile radius, making it an ideal spot to host this event for the ACL Kick-off Batlle attendees to experience the Palm Beaches in ways beyond the sporting event.
