The Palm Beaches are home to not one, but two state-of-the-art baseball facilities. These venues combined with an extraordinary year-round climate present the perfect environment for Major League Baseball (MLB) Spring Training. Both Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium and CACTI Park of The Palm Beaches offer amazing experiences for players and fans alike, creating one of the largest tourism impacts for Palm Beach County. Not only do these venues serve as a home away from home to four of the MLB’s best organizations, but they also attract a great deal of other baseball events and teams to The Palm Beaches. Whether the players on the diamond are professionals, or kids with dreams to become them, these facilities provide some of the greatest sports experiences in Palm Beach County.
Tickets are now available for both Palm Beach County stadiums: CACTI Park of The Palm Beaches and Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium.
Since 1998, The Palm Beaches has been home to Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium in Jupiter, the first baseball complex in Florida to host two MLB teams – the Miami Marlins and St. Louis Cardinals – for Spring Training. In 2017, Palm Beach County introduced its second two-team facility with the opening of CACTI Park of The Palm Beaches, home to the Houston Astros and Washington Nationals. The Palm Beaches’ ability to host four MLB teams creates ample opportunity for baseball enthusiasts to experience the dynamic, exciting, and special aspects of the MLB in a more intimate and interactive environment. The MLB Spring Training experiences created in Palm Beach County are unrivaled.

MLB Spring Training also draws visitors from across the state and nation to The Palm Beaches. Last year, a study commissioned by the Palm Beach County Sports Commission revealed that Spring Training in The Palm Beaches generated more than $77 million in economic impact. This significant contribution was fueled by over 223,000 fans, 55% of whom were nonresidents, resulting in 57,100 lodging room nights.
However, the impacts of the MLB Spring Training experiences and facilities can be seen far past the spring as they both help to highlight and reinforce The Palm Beaches’ status as a hub for baseball and sports tourism. Palm Beach County facilities host numerous additional baseball events year-round, creating lasting impact. Last year alone, Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium and CACTI Park of The Palm Beaches hosted a combined 34 regional and national events, including some of the largest nationwide tournaments and showcases of amateur baseball. These events brought 1,354 amateur baseball teams, consisting of 24,607 athletes and over 42,000+ general attendees. Over 61,600 room nights were generated for Palm Beach County’s hotel and lodging community along with various other economic contributions.
With The Palm Beaches being the only destination with two two-team MLB facilities, the Palm Beach County Sports Commission is proud and excited to continue supporting MLB Spring Training and the year-round baseball events that create pathways for the world to discover The Palm Beaches.
