On Monday evening, during the 33rd Annual Lou Groza Collegiate Place-Kicker Award Celebration presented by the Orange Bowl, the Palm Beach County Sports Commission announced the winners of the Lou Groza High School Awards. The categories for the awards are Place-kicker of the Year, Team of the Year, Player of the Year, and Coach of the Year.
The 2024 Lou Groza High School Awards winners are:
Team of the Year – West Boca Raton
Coach of the Year – Omar Haugabook (Glades Central)
Player of the Year – Teddy Hoffmann (Atlantic)
Place-Kicker of the Year – Brogan Woeber (Jupiter)
Since 1992, the Palm Beach County Sports Commission has honored Palm Beach County’s finest high school football players, teams, and coaches alongside the finalists for the Lou Groza Collegiate Place-Kicker Award. The local awards have been an integral part of the Palm Beach County Sports Commission’s efforts to honor and recognize all who make sports in The Palm Beaches great. This year’s award winners join elite company as previous award winners include former and current NFL stars such as Fred Taylor, Anquan Boldin, Jacoby Brissett, and Lamar Jackson.
The national panel of college football experts assembled by the Palm Beach County Sports Commission has selected the three finalists for the 33rd Lou Groza Collegiate Place-Kicker Award, presented by the Orange Bowl. Kenneth Almendares of Louisiana, Alex Fitzgerald of Florida State, and Alex Raynor of Kentucky will contend for the award. This year’s Lou Groza Award winner will be announced live on ESPN at The Home Depot College Football Awards on Thursday, December 12.
