WEST PALM BEACH, FL — The Palm Beach County Sports Commission is pleased to announce that the 2026 Florida State Championship, part of the Scholastic Clay Target Program (SCTP), will take place at the Palm Beach County Shooting Sports Complex on April 11–12, 2026.
The SCTP Florida State Championship is a key event in the youth clay target shooting calendar, bringing together junior athletes from across Florida to compete in disciplines including trap, skeet and sporting clays. This two‑day competition provides a platform for young shooters — from middle school through high school and collegiate ranks — to demonstrate skill, sportsmanship and team pride in one of the region’s premier outdoor sports venues.
Hosted at the nationally recognized Palm Beach County Shooting Sports Complex on Seminole Pratt Whitney Road, the event showcases the County’s capacity to support major sporting events that draw visitors and athletes to the area. The competition is part of the Scholastic Clay Target Program, a long‑standing youth development organization that emphasizes safety, teamwork and competitive excellence in shooting sports for elementary, secondary and collegiate student‑athletes.
Athletes will compete for individual and team honors across multiple disciplines, with awards recognizing top performances in each category. Events like the Florida State Championship contribute to the Sports Commission’s mission of promoting economic impact through sports tourism while encouraging youth athletics and community engagement.
