The African American Golfers Hall of Fame – Celebrating History and Impact

PALM BEACH GARDENS, FL — The Palm Beach County Sports Commission is pleased to highlight the African American Golfers Hall of Fame Celebration, taking place May 21–25, 2026 at Eastpointe Country Club in Palm Beach Gardens.

The annual celebration honors the history, achievements, and lasting contributions of African Americans in the game of golf. The African American Golfers Hall of Fame is dedicated to preserving the legacy of pioneering players while supporting youth development, mentorship, and community engagement initiatives that grow the game at the grassroots level.

The mission of the African American Golfers Hall of Fame (AAGHOF) is to celebrate and honor the history and achievements of African Americans in golf. Its goals include showcasing and preserving the rich history of African Americans in the sport, recognizing individuals who have made lasting contributions to golf and their communities, and providing educational experiences for golfers of all ages. The organization also aims to build the world’s most comprehensive collection of African American golf memorabilia, while working toward the establishment of a permanent Hall of Fame and Inner City Youth Golfers Clubhouse.

Throughout the multi-day event, guests will take part in programming that recognizes inductees and contributors who have made a significant impact on the sport, both on and off the course. The celebration also serves as an opportunity to highlight golf’s rich and diverse history while inspiring the next generation of players.

In addition to honoring achievement, the event supports efforts to expand access to the game through youth-focused initiatives and community outreach programs that introduce golf to underserved populations.

The Palm Beach County Sports Commission is proud to support events like the African American Golfers Hall of Fame Celebration, which preserve the sport’s legacy while strengthening community engagement and youth development across The Palm Beaches.
