The TimberTech Championship, South Florida’s only PGA Tour Champions event, returns to The Old Course at Broken Sound in Boca Raton from Nov. 3-5.
This annual tournament has been contested in Boca Raton since 2007, producing winners such as two-time Masters Tournament winner and World Golf Hall of Fame member Bernhard Langer (2010, 2019, and 2022), and major champions Tom Lehman (2011), Corey Pavin (2012), and Mark Calcavecchia (2018).
Langer headlines the field for the TimberTech Championship, which once again serves as the middle event in the Charles Schwab Cup Playoffs, with the top 54 players eligible. Also expected at Broken Sound: fellow Hall of Famers Ernie Els, Retief Goosen, and Colin Montgomerie; reigning Charles Schwab Cup champion Steven Alker, the 2021 TimberTech Championship winner; and former major champions Padraig Harrington, Darren Clarke (the 2020 champ), David Toms, Justin Leonard, Stewart Cink, Y.E. Yang, Mike Weir, Lee Janzen and Vijay Singh.
Since its inception, the TimberTech Championship has generated over $2.4 million for local charities through the Boca Raton Champions Golf Charities (BRCGC), with the Boca Raton Regional Hospital serving as the primary charitable beneficiary.
For the third consecutive year, the TimberTech Championship will be a certified zero-waste event, meaning all waste from the tournament week will be recycled, repurposed, reused, composted, or donated – the first and only event with this commitment on the PGA TOUR Champions schedule.
