Baptist Health To Be Presenting Sponsor of the Palm Beach County Sports Hall of Fame

The Palm Beach County Sports Commission announced today a multi-year partnership to make Baptist Health the presenting sponsor of the Palm Beach County Sports Hall of Fame through 2023. The induction ceremony for the 2022 Palm Beach County Sports Hall of Fame will take place April 3, 2022.

The Palm Beach County Sports Hall of Fame was established in 1977 and each year formally recognizes the accomplishments of the area’s top athletes, coaches, administrators, and contributors. In 2004, Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium, home of the St. Louis Cardinals and the Miami Marlins Spring Training, became the permanent site of the Palm Beach County Sports Hall of Fame. Banners commemorating inductees for each year from 1977 hang around the stadium concourse and are viewed each year by hundreds of thousands of people attending events at the stadium.

The 2022 induction class will be honored at the annual Hall of Fame celebration where their lifetime of outstanding contributions in sports will be recognized and enshrined forever in the Palm Beach County Sports Hall of Fame. Also honored are Palm Beach County’s Amateur Athlete of the Year, Coach of the Year, Outstanding Sports Contributor, High School Coach of the Year, High School Athlete of the Year (Male and Female), Champion of Equity and Diversity in Sports, Special Olympics Athlete of the Year, and the Dick Moroso Memorial Motorsports Award.

The Palm Beach County Sports Hall of Fame is presented by Baptist Health, South Florida’s largest healthcare organization, spanning across Miami-Dade, Monroe, Broward, and Palm Beach counties. Baptist Health and the Palm Beach County Sports Commission have enjoyed a fruitful partnership that has brought The Palm Beaches multiple impactful community events including the Back-to-School Football Fun Fest and the Kids Fitness Festival of The Palm Beaches.

“We are extremely proud to be presenting sponsor of the Palm Beach County Sports Hall of Fame,” said Reggie Laroche, Assistant Vice President at Baptist Health Orthopedics & Sports Medicine. “Here at Baptist Health, we take pride in serving and celebrating the South Florida community. Working with the Palm Beach County Sports Commission to commemorate this event, that has been around for so many years, is a fantastic way for us to continue connecting communities while celebrating South Florida’s rich history in all sports.”
