Holiday Basketball Classic Set to Return to The Palm Beaches

The Palm Beach County Sports Commission will host the Holiday Basketball Classic of The Palm Beaches presented by Baptist Health on December 28-30, 2021. This premier high school basketball invitational will bring the area’s best teams together at The Benjamin School in Palm Beach Gardens for three days of elite competition.

This year’s Holiday Basketball Classic marks the return of the event for the first time since Covid-19 related restrictions ultimately canceled the tournament in 2020. This invitational competition will feature eight boys teams representing some of the top programs across South Florida.

The tournament will feature two Miami-based programs, Monsignor Edward Pace and Miami Central, alongside Palm Beach County teams Oxbridge Academy, Boca Raton, William T. Dwyer, The Benjamin School, Cardinal Newman, and Wellington.

Created in 2016 by the Palm Beach County Sports Commission, the Holiday Basketball Classic of The Palm Beaches has been an important pillar in the sports commission’s efforts to engage the local community. “The Holiday Basketball Classic of The Palm Beaches is the culmination of many months of hard work by our sports commission and our partners to bring this cornerstone event back to Palm Beach County,” said George Linley, Executive Director of the Palm Beach County Sports Commission. “We are excited to welcome these premier athletes, coaches, and spectators to The Palm Beaches for what will certainly be three days of fierce competition.”

Tickets for the Holiday Basketball Classic of The Palm Beaches will be available for purchase on-site at The Benjamin School. Both single game tickets and full tournament passes will be available.
