DELRAY BEACH, Fla. – Competitive kayak anglers will cast their lines at Lake Ida Park on September 26 for the Extreme Kayak Fishing Tournament Series – Exotic Roundup. The annual event challenges participants to reel in South Florida’s renowned exotic freshwater species while vying for cash prizes and top tournament honors.
Hosted through a partnership between the Palm Beach County Sports Commission, Extreme Kayak Fishing, and Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation, the event has become one of the region’s most distinctive fishing tournaments. Competitors will launch from Lake Ida, a renowned fishery known for its diverse population of exotic species, including peacock bass and other sought-after game fish.
Now celebrating its sixth annual edition, the Exotic Roundup attracts both experienced kayak anglers and newcomers seeking a competitive and family-friendly outdoor experience.
