Perfect Game continued its legacy in The Palm Beaches this Fall. The Palm Beach County Sports Commission hosted three Perfect Game World Wood Bat Association (WWBA) Championship this October at Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium in Jupiter, CACTI Park of The Palm Beaches in West Palm Beach, and the Santaluces Athletic Complex in Lantana.
These three events represented the nation’s most competitive showcases. The Perfect Game WWBA World Championship, Freshman World Series, and WWBA 13U & 14U World Championships took place simultaneously on October 18-21.
Perfect Game is projected to have brought over 250 travel teams that required overnight stays, consisting of 4,500+ athletes, 500+ coaches, and 6,800+ spectators. Additionally, over 1,000 professional scouts and college recruiters traveled to The Palm Beaches for the Perfect Game events.
Last year, the Perfect Game WWBA World Championship, Freshman World Series, and WWBA 13U & 14U World Championships generated 19,856 room nights in October of 2023, totaling $3,938,636 in hotel revenue and $236,318 in bed tax. Moreover, these events created $22 million in visitor spending.
Perfect Game attracts the most talented travel teams in the United States and is the global leader for scouting services and amateur baseball events. Perfect Game stands at the forefront of youth baseball tournaments, hosting hundreds of prestigious tournaments nationwide every year. Perfect Game serves as “The World’s Largest Scouting Service” with scouts being able to attend events as well as view player profiles made by the organization. A total of 14,472 of Perfect Game’s alumni have been selected in the Major League Baseball (MLB) Draft.
Throughout the years, the Palm Beach County Sports Commission has cultivated a strong relationship with Perfect Game, resulting in an increased number of events. In fiscal year 2016, before the opening of the CACTI Park of The Palm Beaches, Palm Beach County was home to one Perfect Game event, resulting in 4,170 room nights and $1.5 million in economic impact. In 2024, Perfect Game hosted 10 events, spurring an impressive 30,489 room nights and $22 million in economic impact.
